At AGL, we know that planning your bridal beauty experience can feel overwhelming. That's why we've compiled answers to your most common questions, from booking to beauty tips, to make your glam experience effortless and stress-free.

General Booking & Trials

  • Yes, you can but I highly recommend that you book a trial/ preview. I believe a trial is important for not only achieving the intended look for your hair & makeup, but also getting to know your goals and flow of your morning, to make sure you’re getting ready as streamlined, stress free, and as fun as possible.

  • Yes definitely. Scheduling is on a first come first serve basis. AGL requires a signed contract and a 25% retainer to officially reserve your date. Your date will not be held until both are completed.

  • My goal is to make this process as easy and simple as possible for all of my future brides. 

    It takes a few steps:

    Step 1

    Inquiry form -  this helps me get a feel for the details about your event and to make sure I have availability for that day.

    
Step 2          

    Brochure - with this email you will find attached a brochure  based on your inquiry. You will be able to learn a little bit more about working with AGL and all services I offer. You will be able to select specific services that you are interested in booking.

    Step 3

    Schedule makeup & hair preview. We will talk through your vision for your ultimate Glam look and you will be offered guidance for bringing your dream bridal hair & makeup to life.

    I or one of AGL artists will do our absolute best to answer all your questions and concerns. 

    Step 4

    Let’s make it official.

    Based on your service selection I will prepare a custom proposal for you where you will be able to “Save Your Date” by submitting a non-refundable deposit of $200 and signing a contract.

     Step 5

    All the hard work is done! You will be able to check Hair and Makeup off your To Do list YAY! 🥂

    Closer to your date I will create a “Getting Ready” timeline for the morning based on your schedule with the photographer and the ceremony time.

  • Around 2-4 months prior to your day is usually what I find it best to have your trial.

  • I do not. I like small intimate weddings or elopements just as much as big lavish bridal parties. Travel fees apply if traveling more than 15miles from La Jolla Cove location.

  • I will let you know a week before your wedding what I need, but I generally request:
-A “set up” table/work area with a clear surface so I can place all of tools and makeup - working electrical outlets for hair appliances
 - 2 chairs for the bridal party 
- ample lighting (natural light preferred)

Pricing, Payment & Deposit Policies

  • Yes, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. Along with a signed agreement in order to SAVE THE DATE of your event.

  • There is much more than makeup & hair that goes into the bridal price. At Ania Glam Lab I strive to make sure the bride can have all her questions or concerns answered always. So not only am I providing extra time for makeup and hair on the day of the wedding, but I’m also including the time we spend with the bride over emails and calls and providing a timeline for the day of.

  • We accept payments via bank transfer and credit cards for your convenience. If you prefer to use an alternative method, such as Venmo, Zelle, or cash, please let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • No, the deposit is non-refundable. This policy ensures that we reserve your date and commit our resources exclusively to your booking. Due to the nature of our services and the high demand for wedding dates, deposits help secure your spot and compensate for potential lost bookings.

  • The final payment is due 30 days before your wedding day. This ensures that all arrangements are confirmed and allows us to fully focus on providing you with a flawless beauty experience on your special day.

 

Travel & Location Details

  • Our travel rates are based on the distance from our base location at La Jolla Cove. We’re happy to provide on-location services throughout Southern California and beyond.

    • Within 15 miles of La Jolla Cove: No charge

    • North County (Carlsbad, Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido): Starting at $50

    • East County: Starting at $50

    • Temecula: Starting at $100

    • Orange County: Starting at $100

    • Los Angeles: Starting at $250

    Please note that these rates are per artist traveling to your location and may vary based on specific event requirements or additional distances. For a personalized quote and availability, please reach out to us directly.

  • We love to travel and are happy to accommodate both local and destination weddings! Let us know where your event will take place, and we’ll make it happen. Please inquire with us for more details on travel fees and availability for your specific event.

  • Yes, for your convenience Ania Glam Lab comes to you.

  • Yes, we absolutely accommodate destination weddings! Our on-location glam team is happy to travel to your chosen destination to provide flawless bridal hair and makeup. Please inquire with us for a custom quote, as pricing varies based on location and requirements.

 

Hair & Makeup Services

  • Yes, we do! In addition to bridal services, we offer professional hair and makeup for special occasions, including parties, photoshoots, corporate events, and more.

  • Yes, we offer touch-ups and second look services depending on availability. We include a 15-minute complimentary touch-up after your initial styling to ensure everything stays flawless.

    For brides who want extended touch-ups, second look creations, or a style change, we also offer additional hours at $150 per hour, per artist. This service is perfect for maintaining your radiant look throughout the event or transitioning to a second style for the reception.

    To ensure availability, please inquire ahead of time when booking your services.

  • Yes, we do! All our services are offered à la carte, giving you the flexibility to choose exactly what you need. While we don’t have pre-set packages, we do require a minimum booking of $1,400. This allows you to customize your glam experience to fit your preferences and needs.

  • Yes, we offer the option to add an assistant to your glam squad, which helps streamline the getting-ready process—especially for larger bridal parties or when time is limited.

    Here’s what you need to know:

    • If your booking includes more than 8 services, we automatically include an additional artist to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve.

    • You can also request an extra makeup or hair assistant at your discretion.

    • With the help of an additional artist, we can significantly reduce the getting-ready time per service, typically saving 1-2 hours overall.

    • Our average getting-ready time per service is 45-60 minutes, allowing you to relax and enjoy your special day without feeling rushed.

    Adding an assistant ensures a smoother and more efficient experience, so you can feel confident and beautiful without the stress of time constraints.

  • We typically allocate the following timeframes to ensure a seamless and stress-free beauty experience:

    • Bridal Glam (per service): Approximately 75 minutes

    • Guest Services (per person): 45 minutes to 1 hour

    • Complimentary Touch-Ups: 15 minutes

    • Setup and Pack Down: 30 minutes

  • To determine your start time, we recommend first confirming the time your photographer will arrive or the time you need to be completely ready. Once you have that information, we can work backward to schedule the start time for hair and makeup, ensuring everything runs smoothly and you look flawless when it matters most.e.

 

Glam Experience & Styling Options

  • Don’t worry! We use only high-quality, water-resistant, and waterproof products specifically designed to withstand tears, sweat, and long wedding days. From foundation to mascara, our products are carefully chosen to ensure your makeup stays flawless even through emotional moments or warm weather. If you do cry or sweat, simply dab (don't wipe) with a tissue to maintain your look.

    We also take into account the San Diego climate, which can be humid, especially near the beach or on hot August days. When creating your hairstyle, we consider the location and weather to ensure that your hair remains beautiful and intact throughout your event. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the best hairstyle options based on your wedding setting—whether it’s indoors, outdoors, near the coast, or during warmer months.

    Our priority is to make sure you feel confident and prepared for any situation, so you can enjoy your day without worrying about your glam!

  • Yes! We specialize in airbrush makeup and absolutely swear by it. Most of our bridal makeup applications are done using airbrush because it offers long-lasting wear while feeling incredibly light on the skin. Airbrush makeup provides full coverage without feeling heavy, giving a flawless, smooth finish that does not "sweat off" or look cakey, even in warm weather or during long events.

    We use Temptu Airbrush Makeup, a top-of-the-line professional brand known for its durability and natural appearance.

    In addition to airbrush makeup, we also offer traditional makeup applications. The choice between airbrush and traditional makeup is typically a collaborative decision between the stylist and the bride. We’ll assess your skin type, desired look, and preferences to determine which technique will work best for you on your special day.

  • We exclusively use professional-grade makeup products that are designed to deliver long-lasting results and look flawless in photographs. All of our products are sourced from professional retailers and many of the brands we use can only be found in specialty stores, ensuring the highest quality for our clients.

Timing & Schedule

  • To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, we recommend the following time allowances:

    • Bridal Glam (per service): Approximately 75 minutes

    • Guest Services (per person):45 minutes to 1 hour

    • Complimentary Touch-Ups:15 minutes

    • Setup and Pack Down:30 minutes

    • Additional services such as blowouts prior to styling, clip-in extensions, individual lashes, and décolletage & body glow will take extra time. These are approximate time estimates, and we may still need to adjust the wedding or event day timeline accordingly.

    By planning ahead and allowing adequate time for each step, we make sure that you and your bridal party look flawless without feeling rushed. This approach ensures that everyone is ready on time and looking their best for photos and the ceremony.

  • We recommend scheduling your trial around 2 to 4 months before your wedding day. This timeframe allows us to finalize your desired look while giving you enough time to make adjustments if needed. It also ensures your hair length, skin tone, and any seasonal changes are considered for your final look.

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is a top priority for our team. Your safety and comfort are extremely important to us, which is why all of our artists are professionally trained in proper sanitation practices.

    Here’s how we ensure a clean and sanitary setup:

    • Clean Brushes: All brushes are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before each workday. During events, brushes are sanitized with an antibacterial brush cleaner between clients.

    • Disinfected Products: Eyeshadows, eye and lip liners, and other makeup products are sanitized with 99% hospital-grade alcohol between uses to eliminate any potential contaminants.

    • Tidy Makeup Kits: Our kits are kept neat and organized to maintain hygiene and efficiency.

    • Disposable Applicators: We use disposable wands and applicators when needed to further prevent cross-contamination.
